buena vista carneros (just outside of sonoma). views are great, picnic tables nestled into old oak trees and amazing wine caves (it's entirely possible you aren't supposed to go in them...oops!)!

stumped

although this blog is new, i have been blogging ELSEWHERE for a short while now....and this morning when it came time to post, i realized i was stumped for ideas! as for creativity, work has been insane this week...very challenging with exciting results! 

then i got to thinking...i have this neat photo of a tree stump that had been re purposed into a lovely outdoor table....

the simple act of bringing a tree stump into the home is such an easy way to enjoy a little nature in your life! i think they can blend well into many different types of decor, and they are so fun to be re purposed for tables, seating, and planters...

small changes can make a BIG impact when reburbishing furniture.  try swapping out fresh new hardware on an antique or throw some vintage flare onto a more modern piece.

since childhood ive always been fascinated by trees; their beauty, scale, diversity. my sisters and i used to spend countless hours on summer nights in the front yard with the good ol' pine tree; climbing branches, relaxing in its shade, collecting pine cones, throwing said pine cones at neighbor boy :/...

our first lost + found purchase!

early last week shanners and i scoured the acre and a half site of building REsources in sf's dogpatch neighborhood.

this salvage yard is paradise for collectors, crafters, and refurbishers such as ourselves!  lost + found purchased our very first piece...this awesomely rustic and old solid wood armoire with the coolest fluted bun feet!! our first refurb project! LOVE!

this is just the beginning of an exciting venture...

lost + found is the dream and vision of natasha and shannon.

lost + found is a creative outlet to share and express our passion for interior design, love for arts and crafts, and commitment to environmental responsibility. natasha has a background in interior design both through education and professional experiences, while shannon has been working in visual merchandising for 10 years. we met at anthropologie last year where we both worked a short stint and have been supporting and encouraging each other's ideas since.  our shared passion for design and the outdoors, driven attitudes, like-minded entrepreneurial spirits, and complimentary design aesthetic lead naturally to the decision for us to collaborate on this project!
