sunday was an adventure-filled visit to the alameda flea market  + we found some goodies! well, we're not going to give it away just yet, because of course there's some repurposing and refurbishing that needs to be done! here are a few finds we couldn't wait to share:

googled "interior design photography" for inspiration and found it. here. pia ulin. talk about inspiring!! jeez and of COURSE i have to come across this at midnight so now instead of getting sleepy and slipping into dream land, my heart is racing and mind buzzing.  check out pia ulin's FANTASTIC interior photography...(but at your own risk of losing sleep) (and wow there's a slew of images here...i could NOT STOP)

and she was co-written this book, nesting, which showcases homes as they are meant to be...liven in.  these are real life homes. unstaged. real. showing only the residents own pieces.  i love this concept!

ok...sooooo i would officially die happy (VERY happy) if i could ever design a space worthy of this talented lady's photography.  im blown away.  and...now im going to calm down, breathe slow, and zzzZZZzzzz...

sunday sure was a FUN day!! shanners and i hit up the alameda antiques faire to stock up on vintage/salvaged goodies for some upcoming projects!! photos from out adventure coming soon! 

recently i have been on a kick of black & white & brown design.  there's something about the neutral, but bold palette that is natural/soothing yet packs a punch!

las vegas market. viva!

las vegas market!! i have been DYING to share some of my favorite pieces and inspiration that i gathered from the international furniture/design tradeshow this week.  here we go...

napa is delicious.

as many of you know (and many of you will start to notice) i LOVE the wine country.  I LOVE wine, art, sunshine, rolling hills + good eats so it makes a lot of sense that napa/sonoma is the perfect getaway, if even for a day.  this weekend i was a little all over the place: a 24 hour tahoe vacay, anniversary celebrations with the fam, napa for a day, and freelance/workin poolside today.  i probably shouldve been a little more responsible getting prepped for the las vegas market that im jet-setting out to tomorrow, EARLY!!! 

while in napa, i stumbled across a new treasue...the avia hotel.  this place is the epitome of casual wine-country glamour.  and geez, can i just tell you how GORGEOUS the interior of this place is?!? though i didn't see the rooms (someday i will need to stay there!), the lobby, restaurant, and bar are designed to perfection!  see for yourself...

and then there's this super duper amazing interior design studio/shop connected to the hotel called west end (no site yet)...wow.  im pretty sure these ladies stole my aesthetic!  this place is sooo gorgeous and inspiring and full of unique local artist's goodies.  i managed to walk out empty-handed...phew!

i wish computers/ipads had feel-avision...this mohair rug felt sooo good!

i didn't take enough photos...darn, ill have to go back for more! ;) for now, i should probably think about a little sleep before i am bombarded with all the latest design/furniture trends!! :)
